Choose a speech and try to figure out which of the three is the predominant type of persuasion. Do this by first describing what the speaker is trying to persuade of their audience.

“ANY GIVEN SUNDAY”

This speech has 2 of Aristotle's 3 modes of persuasion which are; Pathos and Ethos.

Ethos: Ethos is a mode of persuasion that uses emotion to create emphasis in a speech, and
"Any given Sunday" gives just that. The speaker delivers heart felt emotion explaining that he has made so many bad decisions in his life, and that you can easily loose things - just like he has in his life. He continues to say that he has had to fight for ever inch and starts to compare his life experiences with the ones these players will have to experience for themselves in 3 minutes. "
You find out that life is just a game of inches, So is football.... The inches we need are everywhere around us.
They are in ever break of the gameevery minute, every second....On this team, we fight for that inch.
On this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us"

Pathos: Pathos uses the speaker's character as a mode of persuasion. He inserts himself into the speech ( ^ as i have already stated ) by sharing his life's experiences and comparing them to the game.
