1. How does Al Pacino's character talk about himself in his speech?
Al Pacino first involves himself into the speech by stating that he has made so many bad decisions in his life. He continues, comparing his personal life experiences with that of those the players will have to experience in their game. "I made every wrong choice a middle age man could make... pissed away all my money, believe it or not.,I chased off anyone who has ever loved me...You know when you get old in life things get taken from you." Additionally, he effectively inserts himself by comparing his life with game conditions, saying he has had to go through life fighting, and that the players will have to do the same. "Because in either game life or football....I mean, one half step too late or to early, you don't quite make it, On this team, we fight for that inch..."

2. What effect does this have on the speech? (Use Quotes in your answer).
By using himself as an icon in the peach, by being humble. As a result of being honest he gains he teans trust, making them believe in him. Making sure they " fight for ever inch, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us, to pieces for that inch,we CLAW with our fingernails for that inch"
